smps: Try this.
I downloaded the nuMaps Lifetime update for North America recently. It took hours to download the update and then I could not get it to upload onto the nuvi. After many attempts (about 6), the map finally uploaded to the nuvi. Since I uploaded the map update, my POI search results are duplicated. I wrote to Garmin to get help in how to fix this problem and I am still waiting for a response.
Try going into: Tools | Settings | Map | Map Info.
And make sure you only have the latest map set checked on. Not sure if that will fix it, but I would get it a try.
.
No problems at all with the DL on to the 350,went smooooth, mapsource is at 6.15.7.

Highway Ramp Not Recognized
I downloaded 2010.3 and for some reason, I found a highway ramp that it didn't seem to recognize as being connected to the highway. It kept routing away from this ramp, but when I actually drove down it, it seemed to show up.
I read somewhere about doing a hard reset. How is this done, or is it a map glitch?
Otherwise, it seems to work fine.

What coordinates?

Post the coordinates of that ramp. It may be a glitch where they didn't actually connect the ramp to the road so the software doesn't see it as a connection. If it indeed is a map problem, you can send a form to Navteq.

I doubt a hard reset will solve this type of problem. If you do so, be sure to back up your Favorites before the reset. Here's a link to the manual for your 350:

Is there a backup method that you like? Copy the file from the GPS? Use a program like Mapsource? Something else?
Thanks.

If you have MapSource, this is the intended method for handling Favorites (Waypoints). Use MapSource to upload the Waypoints to the PC and then save the resulting .gdb file. To restore, open the saved file with MapSource and then download them to the nüvi.
Without MapSource, connect the nüvi to your PC via its USB cable. Once it mounts, use whatever method you prefer to copy Current.gpx from x:\Garmin\GPX to the PC as Temp.gpx. To restore, copy Temp.gpx back to x:\Garmin\GPX and maintain the name as Temp.gpx. Power cycle the nüvi and a new copy of Current.gpx will be created.
This is not obvious but Current.gpx is merely a non-functional shadow copy of a hidden working version of Favorites. When a hard reset is initiated, all settings are returned to factory default with the exception of the power-on-password. Current.gpx, as a copy of the internal working copy, now contains only the 3 Garmin locations as Favorites. If Temp.gpx exists at power-on, its contents are merged with the internal working copy which is then copied back to Current.gpx. If desired, you may then delete Temp.gpx. With this understood, it explains why simply copying Current.gpx back to the nüvi doesn't work.
This is all transparent if MapSource is used.

NuMaps Liftime not available for repaired (replaced) 760
I sent my nuvi760 to Garmin for repair (expensive battery replacement.) Garmin sent a replaced unit. Garmin's Web site required the registration of the replaced unit.
The issue is that Garmin's Web site associates my Lifetime maps with the old 760. Suggestions?

I have this happen every time I update my garmin's map, it's the 401 and Mississauga rd. ramp for me, but once I take the ramp the GPS seems to remember it thereafter.

2010.30 download
Something strange happened when downloading version 2010.30
When the download marked completed at 100% the file was 1.99 Go in size. I found this odd as 2010.20 was larger than this. I nonetheless tried opening the file several times but didn't succeed.
I deleted this download and started over from scratch a second time. This time around all went well and the size of the file was 2.05 Go and it transfered immediately into the nuvi.
Not sure what happened the first time around but happy that everything finally worked out well.
