erase poi files
Download all the files onto your computer before you use the poi loader. I make up a folder for each poi file so it's easier to keep track of icon, sound for each poi file. Once you have all the files downloaded from poi factory you want on your garmin then upload them. The poi uploader will automatically erase the prior file each time to use it to upload poi's to your garmin.

If I Understand What You Are Asking
If you want multiple poi files, than load thm to a directory on your computer. Everytime you create one rename everything in front of the .gpi .
If you give it different names for each one, than you can load it on a sd card and download it to your nuvi, or you can connect the nuvi to the computer and than download them directly to the directory on the nuvi.
hope I understood what you were asking.
