Clear Channel Traffic

Can anyone tell me if the clear channel traffic will work with my nuvi 680? Any comments on clear channel and the 680? Since MSN is no longer, I would like to still get some traffic info. The coverage seems to suit me better with clear channel as opposed to navteq, for the areas I travel in. I have found a GTM20 with clear traffic included, but would like some input before I make the purchase. Thanks,
Jon

Thanks, but that link

Thanks, but that link implies the Navteq traffic. I am interested in the Clear Channel. When I check the GTM-20 receiver with Clear Channel, it does not list the 680 as compatible.

I understand your concern

It is always reassuring if the site specifically lists your model. To be sure, it might be safer to call or email Garmin customer service, but I think you will be okay. I say that because when I went to the link posted above, it lists your 680 as well as my 750. What is not obvious is that you can purchase the GTM-20 set up for either NAVTEQ or Clear Channel, but after you get it, you can update it to receive both as I did. I bought mine when it went on sale with the lifetime subscription and updated it with the lifetime subscription to the other service. Note: You will not receive both NAVTEQ and Clear Channel at the same time. I believe if both services are available in an area, it locks onto the 1st one it sees; once you are out of range it will search until if finds a service and then locks onto it. If you will primarily use this where Clear Channel has good coverage, you may be satisfied with it alone.
