If all Garmin units would have speed limit signs and change colors at a set mph over the speed limit. Maybe a beep alert that can be turned off?

Garmin 765T
The Garmin 765T has the speed limit signs which amazingly change almost at the instant we approach a new speed limit sign. Very handy.
Our car has a feature where we can set a speed limit and it beeps when we reach it, that too is handy.
So to have both on a gps unit, would be a good thing.

Speed Limit Data
The speed limit data is part of the map data. It shows up on my 760 with 2009 maps.
speeding
my first gps was a michelin. it had programmable limits for the different types of roads. the screen flashes and gives a voice alert. nice feature but it it about 90% accurate. some towns have different limits
the data isn't that accurate
My bride and I went for a Sunday drive on Saturday and a lot of the little towns we went through had different speeds posted than what was in the 2010.20 map data. Of about 15 we went through, they were all lower than what the display showed. I think I have seen exactly 0 that have had higher speeds posted.
