Voters in Heath, Ohio voted to ban the already installed red light and speed cameras in their town. They also voted out the Mayor who put them in place.

Voters did the same in Chillicothe, Ohio as well.

Red Light & Speed Cameras

We need that to happen in Maryland. They reproducing like bunnies.

Gov. O'Malley needs some more stimulation on the error of his ways. The next gubernatorial election in MD might provide that opportunity.

Well good for those voting citizens. Maybe there is hope for the future.

So, the city council intends

So, the Chillicothe city council intends to send the case to the courts in the hope that the initiative is declared unconstitutional. Usually this happens when a tax initiative is voted into law by a public vote but over the objections of the privileged class who 'work' in your respective state capitols.

Gotta love it when some gov't entity circumvents the will of the people (at least the ones that voted anyway). Welcome to the nanny state.

Right on, Heath, Ohio

They voted out the same mayor who was also seen before the election, according to MSNBC, taking down signs on the public right-of-way opposing the cameras. Good for the people of Heath, Ohio. I hope their ex-mayor gets ticketed someplace else by an enforcement camera... unfairly, too.

I don't know!!!!

Just think...now people can run red lights if no police are around and not have to worry about getting a ticket....Sorry I don't totally agree with this mentality....A personal opinion....

Rolling turn on red

I'm all for rolling turn right on red. It fights terrorism. We save fuel by not completely stopping and buy less from governments that support terrorism and ignore human rights. Rolling right on red is a patriotic thing to do.
