Need opinions- 1350T or 765T

I am looking for opinions on the Garmin 1350T or 765T.

I am looking to acquire a new GPS and QVC has the 1350T on special today on easy pay for $219.00. I have been seriously considering the 765T but then the option for the 1350T came along.

It looks to have most of the same features, although it does mention in one review that the 1350T does not have the Junction feature.

Any help would be appreciated, I have seen some opinions here on the 765T, but if you had to choose between these two models which would you choose?

Thanks

not comparable

You will need to decide for yourself what features are important to you, but in my view these two units are in different classes. Features that the 765T has that the 1350T doesn't have are saved multipoint routes, bluetooth, powered cradle, MP3 player, FM transmitter, audio output jack. For me, the 765T is a clear winner between these two.

I choose the 765t

I just choose the 765 over the 1350 for the following reasons:
Multipoint routing Using way points in my routes helps prevent recalculations from sending me into areas I am trying to avoid (traffic, construction, ...)
Bluetooth support I am considering a new car and do not want to pay the premium for built in bluetooth.
Does the 1350 support routes to be downloaded from Mapsource?

765T

JMHO, though for all the reasons mentioned...

I agree, get the 765T

BuyDig.com now has the 765T for $259.14, with free shipping. I got this as a gift last month and I know they paid over $300. Did you do a comparison between the two at the Garmin site? The 765T has an abundance of features over the 1350T.

My vote for 765t

My sentiments exactly as swehmeyar. I have the 765t. I generally use Mapquest to do my routes, creating waypoints to tag down the route the way I want to go. In creating waypoints, it inhibits the GPS from recalculating another route, that may be, and usually is less desirable.

Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.

Huh? Most of the same features? The two models are vastly different.

As others have mentioned you should go to the Garmin site and compare the two models.

Thanks for the help

Thanks for the info. You saved me from making a totally uninformed purchase. I had been researching the 765T and the 1350T wasn't even on the radar. The 1350T looked good on QVC, but of course that is what they want! lol

Thanks again.

765t

you'll be happy with the 765 ... I love mine!

One more vote for the 765

Got mine last Christmas & use it everyday!

765T

I bought my 765T before the 1350T was available.

After gaining experience from the great folks here at poi-factory, I am now able to fully exploit the features that the 765T provides, especially the routing, and forcing the nuvi to follow my route in conjunction with MapQuest, with assistance from an article on Gary Hayman's site.

And I love having the mp3 player and the 8GB card I bought for those 9-10 hour trips.

And usually cheaper even with a lot of features.

I think the 7x5 series is

I think the 7x5 series is actually a few steps ahead of the 1350. Multi-Point routing was my main reason for going that way. Since I found out about POIs, the possibilities have just gotten better.

1350 only has the advantage if you're using their special pedestrian extras. I mainly use mine in the car so it's not a concern.]

Force Nuvi to follow my route

I just got a 765t and I'm testing accuracy of routing using some local addresses- Sam's Club, etc. I've been having some problems getting Nuvi to take me the route I usually go (my frame of reference is the 670 which I think has a different routing engine). Of course it could be just my 'learning curve,'

Could you please tell me how to 'force the Nuvi to follow my route' as you have indicated (below)? Thank you.

Got 765T This Weekend

Got a 765T this weekend to replace my 205. Paid $209 for it.

Costco had the 1490t (this

Costco had the 1490t (this weekend only) for $249.00
