MOBILE XT V.S.NUVI 360

have used both products a while, and loaded latest NA city navigation 2010 map to mobile xt, and 2008 to nuvi. but recently i found mobile xt seems more accurate than nuvi in terms of locating. eg, i use my current location to set it as home, then input the address in where to go, mobile xt will tell u, arriving xx on...,while nuvi 360 tells continue xx hundred feet then arriveing xx on.... i though it was map problem, and uploaded 2010 to nuvi as well, but the result is the same. so i am thinking maybe mobile locate better than nuvi?
anybody experienced that before.

I apologize for the thread

I apologize for the thread necromancy.

Garmin Mobile XT is more sensitive in detecting satellites, but only because of the AGPS function on the phone, which uses cell phone towers as a supplement to the satellites. It also has the newer interface that Garmin uses, with the turn indicator in the upper left and speed limit indicators. However, aside from that I find Garmin Mobile XT to be as accurate as my nüvi 200W when it comes to locating things.

How about if AGPS is off?

How about if AGPS is off? Anyone compared?

I haven't tried it with AGPS

I haven't tried it with AGPS off, since I have an unlimited data plan on my phone and currently don't need to play around with AGPS. However, from the information others have provided on various sites around the Internet, the satellite reception time is about equal to a standard Garmin unit.

One thing I do know, and this is likely because of the phone I have (LG Incite), Garmin Mobile XT is slower than my 200W in redrawing the maps, all things being equal. Which why Mobile XT is my backup system.
