Charger Problem

I have an old trusty Garmin c330. Just recently the GPS will not charge in the window mount cradle. I've changed the fuse cleaned the contacts. Any suggestions? Right now I'm charging it in the car with the usb port using one of those I-GO chargers that you can swap out the tips to accommodate the device. This works ok but the charger cords are not very long so I can't put the gps where I like.

Charger

Sounds like you may have a broken cable. Have you used a volt meter to check the cable? If it is bad the only choice would be a new cable.

330 charge problem

If the I-GO charger is actually charging the battery, I would look at the original cable. If I remember correctly, the 330 charger cable plugged directly into the unit. The cable could have a broken wire inside, or one of the contacts on the side of the plug that plugs into the power port may not be making contact. The other thing I would look at would be the contacts. One of them may be bent.
But my first guess would be the charging cable.
