I just called MSN and asked them if I would cancel now how much would I get back. I had the service Aug to now. I am getting back 97.00 plus they are letting me have MSN Direct till Jan 1 2012. FREE.

I canceled mine yesterday and they have already credited back $95.30 of the $99.95 I had paid. The credit already shows on my credit card account website today. Plus the MSN Direct account still shows my receiver will have service through 1/1/2012.

According to member jonzim everyone will get notified by MSN, a rebate and service to 2012. See his post in the link a portion of which reads:
We are writing to let you know that MSN Direct service will no longer be available after January 1st, 2012. To continue to receive service until then there is no action required on your part. You will automatically continue to enjoy the full benefits of MSN Direct, along with service and support, up until that date.
