Adding a POI type indicator

Just a thought - I think that it would be very helpful if Garmin would put a little indicator on each Garmin POI entry (or on each custom POI entry) that it displays. Being able to distinguish "theirs" from "ours" seems like a very helpful tool. Does this sound reasonable or useful to others?

.

Not sure what you are suggesting since the built POIs and the Custom POIs that you might load are completely separate from each other and don't interact in any way.

They also display differently on the map screens.

Custom vs Built-in POIs

Oh, now I get it. I thought that they were merged and duplicates eliminated. Looks like I have to go to Extras to get my custom POIs. So I did that and I found another Starbucks in my city. BUT, it does not have any address listed as does the built-ins. I had to go to the map to see about where it was.
Since there are addresses in the Starbucks POI file (I checked), they are being ignored by the POI Loader. Does this mean that I have to convert the csv file to a gpx file so that the addresses will populate, or is there something else that I have to do?

Model difference?

Welcome to the POI-Factory SkywayTraveler.

I just downloaded the .csv file from http://www.poi-factory.com/node/12311 and loaded into my 750 via POI Loader. It displays the address, phone #, etc. I would have assumed that a 255W would do the same. Do you have the same file?

I downloaded it again just

I downloaded it again just to compare. It is dated ~23 hrs later and has the same 619KB size, so it probably has an addition or two. That is virtually the same file that I installed on my 255W.
