Garmin POI Loader

I've just gownloaded the current POI Loader v 2.5.3 from the Garmin site, and run the install bit.

I cannont find any reference to the POI Loader file created by running the install. Any suggestions? How do I access the file to donload the POI's to my GPS?

I've downloaded various POI zip files and aggregated them into a folder which I called POI, in the Garmin directory... but I can seem to find a way to "get" to them.

Any help for a newby is appreciated.

poi loader

What operating system are you using? Under windows poi loader can be found under start/programs/garmin or something like start/all programs/garmin. There is poi loader you have to click on.

And poi files can't be in zip format to be recognized by poi loader. You have to unzip them first (windows xp or vista have unzip tool build in, so just double click on zip file and then copy files from archive to any folder) and only then they can be loaded to gps. Loader can only recognize files in garmin or csv format.

This site is using csv format for poi files.
