Temporarily Stop Red Light Camera Alerts

I have loaded the RLC alerts on all of our Gps units.

But my wife HATES the annoying "Bong-Bong" and complains every time it goes off. ( Ya... I know.... she'll complain if she gets a ticket too.)

Is there a way to turn off the alerts and not have to delete them? Or at least turn off the volume of the alert only and leave the directions voice alone ?

Thanks

Yes You CAN

I see both of your units have mp3 ability. As a suggestion make a mp3 file recording with no sound.Add it to your csv or gpx file. The alarm notice will still pop up on the screen but with no sound or bong.Or make the voice alert mp3 more to her likening.

What a simple idea. A blank MP3 file. I too don't like the bong bong. I would have never thought to link it to a blank mp3 file.

Of course, since pratzert doesn't mind the bong bong, but his wife does, let me offer an alternative solution. Find the most annoying and loud MP3 file you can find and install it instead. Your wife will beg you to please put the bong bong back on the unit smile

Bong-Bong

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.

There are a couple of alternatives before me now.

I think maybe I'll try to just Change the alert to something other than the Bong-Bong.

Perhaps something subliminal like:
" You Hate Shopping - You Hate Shopping "

Or something like...

I have a good idea where the next bong alert will be and not from the gps.
