fodors?

i've been talking to garmin to figure this out. i'm trying to install fodor on a friend's garmin. it's in the POI folder (recommended by garmin themselves). they don't want the card installed since they have other stuff on it. it's in that folder where it should be, but unit can't see it. any ideas how this could work? it's a nuvi 855. thanks

Did they buy it on the card?

If they bought a card with the product on it, it can only be run from the card. See if Garmin will let them return the card and get a D/L version instead.

Fodor questions.

Has anyone purchased Garmin's "Fodor’s Travel Guide: North America"? And is it any good, i.e. worth the purchase price?

Fodor's

A friend purchased it and gave it to me. I have it on my Nuvi 680. It's OK, not worth the price though. I have never really used it that much. Save your money and use the great POI's located on this site.

99% of the time they will ask to see your membership card. If you don't have one, they will sell you the travel guide at retail.

I "am" a member but I gues I've been fortunate, I've never been asked for a card so I assumed they were free. Sorry to have missled. sad

Or borrow travel guides such as Fodor's from local public library. AAA travel guide/borrowed guides + POIs from this site = all you would need or want imo
