Nuvi 855 or 755t

My sister just recently purchase a Nuvi 855 and she likes most of the features on it, but the voice on the unit seems off, it sounds like its under water, except for the British guy, is that normal?
I'm thinking she should return it and go for the 755t. Other than the hands free voice command on the 855 is the 755t just as good? I know that on many reviews it says that the 855 won't let you avoid certain routes on your trip, but I found that not to be true, does the 755t have this ability?

Try another voice
This summer I upgraded from a StreetPilot III to a Nuvi 755T and overall I'm quite pleased with it. The voice wasn't as crisp and was a bit disappointing. I changed it to the American male voice instead of female and noticed that it was much better. Austrailian and British also gave good results.

I also have a 265wt and the voice is much better than the 885 I currently have, I'm just thinking that the 2x5 and 7x5 series have better voice (I forgot but I read somewhere that they do have better voices than the 8 series). As of right now, other than the British guy voice, the rest of them sound like their underwater and can't even finish a sentence.
Nuvi 755t has the same issue
I have a 855 and the I have no problem with volume of the voice. I use Jill. Infact I have to turn the volume down to about 80%.
