lon and lat

We have some cameras that are not on your Camera files. If I set them in my Garmin when I go by them how do I convert them to lon and lat settings so I can send them in.

Favorites

Save them as favorites. When you view them later, it'll show you those info.

Tap the vehicle icon to save your current location to Favorites.

To improve the accuracy before I report it, I load my Favorites into GeePeeEx Editor or Extra_POI_Editor and turn on the Hybrid map and satellite view and zoom way in. Then I fine tune the crosshair to get it dead center in the intersection if it's a 4-way camera site or place it on the corner if it's a single camera.

If you provide

If you provide the city, state, intersection, the direction of the camera(s) and speed limit on the street, Miss POI will add the needed coordinates. Please review the FAQ on cameras as well to be certain you are seeing enforcement cameras and not traffic control cameras.

Thanks for the information.

Bill,

Thanks for the information. We update our garmins in our trucks to keep track of the cameras with the POI and it has helped us avoid the cameras.
I have noticed a number of the cameras disappearing, like at 19th and Northern, 19th and Bell, 59 and Peoria. I think the city is removing them. There is one heading north on the 101 near the Cardinals stadium.
