Day late

, hope everyone had a great Labour Day weekend. Drive smart, drive safe.

37 degrees...

...in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho this morning sad Not ready for summer to end!

Racoon Holiday

The raccoons took a holiday for I didn't catch or take a picture but I caught one at 4:54 am today. The camera also photographed 4 squirrels at 7pm and a dog at 10:30pm. I have one more raccoon to go before the vacancy sign goes out.

Went to TOronto last weekend for a barbeque with friends.

Amazed whenever my GPS reminded me of a redlight camera.

good short week

Hope everyone productive this week.

What a great weekend!

What a great weekend!

Too much labor, not enough day

Finally...

Grillin is good!

Grillin is good!

Nice two day weekend for me.

Since I work six days a week, it is rare to have two consective days off.

I frequently catch skunks.

I also trap and relocate racoons. But every now and then a skunk gets trapped. I usually slowly approach the trap, open the door, then walk way. The skunk usually stays in the trap, and wait till dark before leaving. Haven't got sprayed so far.

Short Staycation week

Have great shortened week everyone! smile

Labor Day Weekend

We rented a remote cabin along the Des Moines river. Just relaxed and did some hiking. We went to Keokuk IA for the big parade on Monday. I enjoy watching the little kids picking up candy.

Racoons

I didn't catch a raccoon but did get an opossum. The camera showed 1 raccoon walking past the empty cage that had a piece of breaded pork tenderloin sandwich for bait but must not have liked the way my wife fixed it. The opossum liked it. Back to chicken I guess.
Anyone looking to trap raccoons should try lat. 41.706657, long.-93.670750 for there should be at least 35 in the area. It was a beautiful drive this morning for I saw 2 eagles flying and a mink (my father raised them so I've seen thousands) scurry across the road.

Trapping

My last trapping adventure was aa family of skunks. They burrowed under some cement and set up housekeeping. The juveniles were not bad but the mother was terrible. I found that they do not spray if they cannot see you so I stayed behind the solid trap door. They do not seem to like the cage being covered with a towel either. They sprayed that the towel that I was using to calm them. Luckily none returned this year.

Leisurely holiday we did take a trip to Sheboygan and Port Washington WI. Had a great seafood meal at a POI suggested by Garmin.

Weekend in Monterey

Spent Labor Day weekend in Monterey as a working vacation. Dropped by the Wal-Mart First Tee golf tournament at Pebble Beach on Saturday and saw Bill Murray (funny as ever) and Tom Watson golf. Then Sunday went to Point Lobos State Park which was gorgeous. Took about 400 pictures. Drove home Sunday afternoon to miss the Monday driving insanity.

And if you try and replace the obsolete things in life, you will find those also obsolete. So good luck trying to stay ahead, because it ain't going to happen.

Everyone having a great week, arrow idea

GPS for school bus drivers

I wish that the school bus drivers and/or companies would figure out the best route using GPS or similar technologies. The school bus that my son takes has been late (at least) 20 minutes each morning this first week of school. sad
