TRuck hit tunnel

I work in Port Chester, New York, where there is an 11' high train tressle/bridge almost at the corner of Mill Rd and the Post Rd. which gets hit by semi's about every other month.

Now they have a 4'x4' orange and red flashing "X" at the bridge to wake up truck drivers.

What's worse is that the semi's that do see it have a limited area to back up and turn around going South but none going North. That takes about 20 minutes, two cops and snarling traffic to achieve.

By the way, that old trick of letting the air out of the tires to get the stuck truck out doesn't work. These guys are so wedged in that it takes about four hours to get them out.

See one of those things coming at you at about eye level; yep, that would wake me up. (Or, put you to sleep if you didn't see it soon enough.) laugh out loud
