Good week to all of you and congrats to POI Factory for almost three years of service.

This is a great site. Where else do you have a chance at being # 1 each and every week. I missed it this time because I have to take my car in for repair, bummer!!!. Maybe next week.

Had a good vacation last week, good to be back home though. Have a good week everyone!

The house is quiet now that the kids are back in school. I am going to enjoy it before sporting games start.

Been on/off vacation for the last 3 weeks. Having a hard time adjusting to the real world. Two full weeks of work, then labor day!

Sylvia's attic is a great place for book lovers. I just love the ocean air down at he beach.

If you are sleeping outside you may want to invest in some earplugs just in case you are within ear shot of the rooster;)

Bring some jeans and long shirts, it is cold at night.

Watch out for cats, there seem to be hundreds of them.

A week ago we drove to Kahoka MO for a bluegrass festival. Good music, good fun. The RV folks were having such a good time, that we decided to rent a RV for Bill Monroe Festival in October at Rosine KY and stay all 4 days.

Seems they are adding some corrections I submitted to an upcoming map update.

The corrections were submitted in Feb. 2007.

Love getting fresh vegetables out of the garden. I will be glad when cooler weather gets here though.

Need to update my profile . . . gave my Nuvi 200W to my daughter. She took her car to Chicago (needed for school) and I thought it would make me feel better about her navigating about if she had the Nuvi.

Is this a good enough excuse for me to upgrade? Hmmm . . . there was no alterior motive. Really.

Still can't find any work on this end folks! I haven't been around much lately and I feel like I've fallen into some deep hole with how far behind I am with my online activities. I heard last night that the NUMI Plant (Toyota & GM) in Fremont is closing which put another 40,000 people out on the streets looking for work.

The media would have you believe that the recession is over but don't believe it! Things are getting worse out here everyday and why the markets are up is anyone's guess. I suppose the markets like millions of people out of work, losing their homes, rampant inflation and the cost of gas rising.

Sorry if I sound a bit on the negative side but 90 days looking for work and finding NOTHING has me at my wits end. Sorry for being a downer. Hey, it's Friday so can have a great weekend with friends and family.

Made it home, POI's uploaded. Is it Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Offbeat Tourist Attractions or searching out red light cameras to verify? We will see. There are a couple listed near here that are either very new or are for something else. The nearby town is very good about posting signs so maybe we will take a short trip to see.

Um... It's pre season who cares. the whistle blows for real in three weeks. Then we can keep count, when 1st string players play the whole game. until then they are scrimmages.

Going on vacation next week. Know the way there by heart but it's still be fun to see what the 260W has to say.

A cold summer in Detroit and a slight delay in planting have really delayed the tomatoes this year. I'm trying out different heirloom varieties for the first time, instead of the typical hybrids. It should be interesting, now that the plants are getting mature.

This year the weather was a bit colder. Summer is almost over. Hurricanes did not materialized like many predicted.
Hopes for a nice winter!

But the peak of the hurricane season is around Sept. 10th historically. The Sept to Oct time frame very typically generates some serious Cape Verde hurricanes.
They have lots of time to wind up into major storms when they start out around Cape Verde.
