I started a POI file that is linked below of some uniquely fun restaurants that have more than just fun decor. This is a list of restaurants that are fun, interactive, and sometimes on the bizarre side. I want to avoid the restaurant chains, however, I did include Dixie Stampede and Medieval Times only because these do offer interaction and fun. If anyone has others that they would like to add, do tell!
Hi, I was unable to access the page -
You are not authorized to access this page.
Is anybody else having this problem, unless it's my accnt
I just posted this. It may need to be cleared by Miss POI.
Sounds Interesting, I will have to check this POI out. By the way the first restaurant that came to my mind was Medieval Times.
The one that came to my mind was Dave & Buster's. It is a chain but can be fun.
after seeing your avitar that you'd be suggesting Potbelly Sandwich Works:) but that file already exists:)
Hmmmm, Maybe I should check out that file
I like pigs
Looks very interesting. I'll have to give these a try if I'm in the area. And keep a look out for more. Great idea.
Here's an addition for the file.
Trailer Park Lounge
271 W 23rd St
New York, NY
I didn't see this thread until after it was sent. Anyway, you might want to go back and edit the POI page to put a link to this thread on that page.
Just a suggestion.
301 Front Street West
Toronto, ON M5V 2T6, Canada
Reservations get you to the front of the line to go up. After your meal you can stay up and visit the other observation decks.
The 360 makes its rotating room overlooking the city a dignified dining experience. The CN Tower restaurant received a major facelift in 1995 making the transition from tourist hotbed to an upscale dining experience. The gorgeous view goes without saying, if you try to pick a cloudless evening and if you have a stomach for heights. With executive chef Peter George at the helm, the restaurant has become a place people come to eat as well as check out the view. The restaurant offers market-fresh cuisine, featuring regional ingredients and also offers an award-winning wine selection of more than 550 international and Canadian wines from its cellar in the sky.
Thanks for the suggestion. I added the link to this thread on the POI page.
Interactive dinner theater like http://www.stardome.com/mystery_theatre.php ? If so I will get the coordinates etc.
I think that dinner theaters are a perfect fit for this project. Thanks!
I will also add the others one suggested as I think that they are appropriate, too. I wasn't too sure of the Trailer Park Lounge at first, but after some looking into, I think that it's enough off-the-wall to be included. Thanks for sharing!
Every year, when we go to Chicago, this is a must stop for us. The waiters and waitresses, a lot of whom are college students, insult you, and make dining there a lot more fun.

I saw the earlier post and did find them on Google, as well. They are already in there. However, I did notice that the phone number was different on one of them which turn out to be my mistake. Thanks.
Wow they are still around???
I will see if I can take the kids if we are ever back in TX.
Her Dixie Stampede shows are great. A wonderfully unique meal and a horse show to boot.
nice work. keep up the good job.
Al Capone's Hideaway & Steakhouse
35W337 Riverside Drive
St. Charles, IL 60174
For great steaks, wines, microbrews, spirits, premium cigars and more, Al Capone's Hideaway & Steakhouse is a real taste of the Roaring 20's! Stop on in and re-live the days of Prohibition in the atmosphere of an authentic 1920's Speakeasy. Once inside the atmosphere is as roaring as the 20's with music by Dixieland stars like saxophonist Franz Jackson, Johnny Waters and Glenn Koch.
For a truly UNTOUCHABLE dinning experience call toll-free 1-888-SCARFACE for reservations & directions to Al Capone's Hideaway.
What a nice addition. Thanks.

Coords -89.54698 36.88855
Located in Sikeston, Missouri, LAMBERT'S CAFE I is the oldest of the three cafes. The cafe standing right now is the fourth one to be located there. Each move from the original LAMBERT'S came as popularity of the cafe increased and more space was needed. The first roll was thrown in 1976 by Norman Lambert. At the original location, he would walk around and hand out the rolls.. One day it was really busy when Norman couldn't get through the crowd....one of the customers yelled to him " Throw the D*** thing!". And with that The ONLY HOME OF THROWED ROLLS was born.

Thanks for another fine addition. I will get this updated this weekend.
Bar Covered with Pennies might be good for this POI.
They still have them, they are a chain. Here's the address for the one in San Antonio that I ate at many years ago. The servers dress in various costumes and then act the part throughout the evening. It was a lot of fun.
The Magic Time Machine
902 NE Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78209
There used to be one in San Antonio also, on Loop 410 near the airport.
The Magic Time Machine which was located on Riverside Dr is no longer there. Love to eat at that place.
But next time my boss asks me to visit the office in Chicago... I think I know a few places to visit now ! I've sent the link to my colleagues, am awaiting their feedback (and additions ? Even as members of the Great and Fantastic POI Factory Community ?)
I will have to check this POI out
Sneaky Pete's Cowboy Steaks
207 North Cody Road, Le Claire, IA 52753-9219
Wear a tie and the waitress will cut it off and hang it from the ceiling. Great salad bar.
I have updated this POI file by removing closed locations and added a few new ones.
Tom & Betty's in Jacksonville, FL. Deli quality sandwiches names after cars!
