Uniquely Fun Restaurants

I started a POI file that is linked below of some uniquely fun restaurants that have more than just fun decor. This is a list of restaurants that are fun, interactive, and sometimes on the bizarre side. I want to avoid the restaurant chains, however, I did include Dixie Stampede and Medieval Times only because these do offer interaction and fun. If anyone has others that they would like to add, do tell!

I just posted this. It may need to be cleared by Miss POI.

Sounds Interesting

Sounds Interesting, I will have to check this POI out. By the way the first restaurant that came to my mind was Medieval Times.

Another one

The one that came to my mind was Dave & Buster's. It is a chain but can be fun.

For some odd reason, I thought

Just a suggestion.

CN Tower Toronto

CN Tower
-79.387207,43.642225
301 Front Street West
Toronto, ON M5V 2T6, Canada

Reservations get you to the front of the line to go up. After your meal you can stay up and visit the other observation decks.

The 360 makes its rotating room overlooking the city a dignified dining experience. The CN Tower restaurant received a major facelift in 1995 making the transition from tourist hotbed to an upscale dining experience. The gorgeous view goes without saying, if you try to pick a cloudless evening and if you have a stomach for heights. With executive chef Peter George at the helm, the restaurant has become a place people come to eat as well as check out the view. The restaurant offers market-fresh cuisine, featuring regional ingredients and also offers an award-winning wine selection of more than 550 international and Canadian wines from its cellar in the sky.

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I added the link to this thread on the POI page.

How about dinner theater?

Interactive dinner theater like http://www.stardome.com/mystery_theatre.php ? If so I will get the coordinates etc.

Great additions

I think that dinner theaters are a perfect fit for this project. Thanks!

I will also add the others one suggested as I think that they are appropriate, too. I wasn't too sure of the Trailer Park Lounge at first, but after some looking into, I think that it's enough off-the-wall to be included. Thanks for sharing!

Do you have Ed DeBevik's in Chicago in there yet?

Every year, when we go to Chicago, this is a must stop for us. The waiters and waitresses, a lot of whom are college students, insult you, and make dining there a lot more fun.

Al Capone's Hideaway & Steakhouse
35W337 Riverside Drive
St. Charles, IL 60174
1-888-722-7322

-88.30726 41.96790

For great steaks, wines, microbrews, spirits, premium cigars and more, Al Capone's Hideaway & Steakhouse is a real taste of the Roaring 20's! Stop on in and re-live the days of Prohibition in the atmosphere of an authentic 1920's Speakeasy. Once inside the atmosphere is as roaring as the 20's with music by Dixieland stars like saxophonist Franz Jackson, Johnny Waters and Glenn Koch.

For a truly UNTOUCHABLE dinning experience call toll-free 1-888-SCARFACE for reservations & directions to Al Capone's Hideaway.

Sikeston, MO

Located in Sikeston, Missouri, LAMBERT'S CAFE I is the oldest of the three cafes. The cafe standing right now is the fourth one to be located there. Each move from the original LAMBERT'S came as popularity of the cafe increased and more space was needed. The first roll was thrown in 1976 by Norman Lambert. At the original location, he would walk around and hand out the rolls.. One day it was really busy when Norman couldn't get through the crowd....one of the customers yelled to him " Throw the D*** thing!". And with that The ONLY HOME OF THROWED ROLLS was born.

They still have them, they are a chain. Here's the address for the one in San Antonio that I ate at many years ago. The servers dress in various costumes and then act the part throughout the evening. It was a lot of fun.

There used to be one in San Antonio also, on Loop 410 near the airport.

The Magic Time Machine which was located on Riverside Dr is no longer there. Love to eat at that place.

But next time my boss asks me to visit the office in Chicago... I think I know a few places to visit now ! I've sent the link to my colleagues, am awaiting their feedback (and additions ? Even as members of the Great and Fantastic POI Factory Community ?)
