where is my zoom scale on my 885T

Try changing the view to 2D instead of 3D
most units will show the zoom level in a viewing mode other than 3D

If you zoom all the way in (+) that should be 80', then back out (-) once and it's 120' back out again it's 200', then 300', 500', 800', .2mile, .3mile, .5mile, .7mile, 1mile and on and on.

They don't put it on the main screen anymorer. You'll find the scale on the 'browse map'.

Stupid, but true.

This was a big complaint over a year ago when Garmin released a firmware update to the 2x0 series that removed the map scale.

The map scale was restored to the 2x5 series, unfortunately, Garmin decided to place the speed limit icon in the same location, so I can only see the map scale if there isn't speed limit data on that stretch of road. I'd rather have the map scale than the unreliable speed limit display.

If I recall correctly, on my 255W, the map scale is placed lower on the screen than the speed limit icon, so you can see both. I'll have to check that again since in my area, there are few places with speed limit information.

I haven't yet figured a voice command to zoom in/out on the 885T. Is there such commands?
