Proprietary TomTom Airport POI error

My TomTom screwed up on a recent trip down to the Philadelphia Intl. Airport (PHL). It seems that the airport POI that came pre-installed on my One NE (with a North America map) has the PHL location listed incorrectly.

I was directed to exit off of I-95 S onto Bartram Ave. (exit 14) and then directed to turn right onto Essington Ave.; after going about 100 yards or so on Essington Ave. I was told that I had 'reached my destination'. Big problem...there is no airport there, just new car dealerships and parking lots. It's a rather desolate area too, and at night I would even consider it an area to definitely avoid!

After loading one of the airport POI's from the Factory I found that I should've exited I-95 at the HWY 291/Cargo City exit which takes you directly into the airport.

And I didn't even get to try a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich.

Live and learn! wink

You missed the best reason to be in Philly! Next time you're there, go to the intersection of 9th and Passyunk where you'll find Geno's and Pat's - it's the center of the cheesesteak universe. mrgreen
