myDashboard vs WebUpdater

Can anyone explain the difference between updates done via myDashboard through a browser and the ones done using WebUpdater?

What I have gathered is that using myDashboard updates all voices/text if you want them or not, while WebUpdater lets you choose which ones you want.

Yes on webupdater.I tried

Yes on webupdater.I tried Dashboard thinking I had a update.After taking a while to download I found no update .I had removed files I didn't need or use in my gps.It put them all back.To me it is like a reset.All or nothing.
