New c530 forum member

Hey, I am pretty new to the GPS world, but as I did with the radar detector world, I am becoming very familiar with it. Still have a lot of questions, but I truly like this site.

I got the c530 just a week ago because I was in an accident looking at the mapquest paper directions and for the street. I do a lot of business travel so I got it.

It seems that I will be using this a lot for personal reasons too...lol. And I am not as young as I look!!!!!! LOL.

Welcome to the site and c530

We are always happy to help if you have any questions. I see you already modified your c530 for TTS. How do you like it? I wasn't sure if there was any real advantage as I always look at the map before turns.

Oh god, I love it! Esp when you are in a lot of traffic and it isn't really easy or safe to look at it. The voice is more 'computerized' then the other, but I have heard that is true with any TTS.

I didn't get any of the "what could go wrong" issues that the author described.
