Garmin 2.4 not showing option to delete POI's

I'm a gps newbie and am having some difficultly removing a list of custom POI's that I uploaded. I downloaded the beta poi installer 2.4.0.1 but it does not give me the option to delete which is what I found in other threads. Any help? Thank you!

I noticed also that the new

I noticed also that the new version does not have that option.

What you can do is once you have your GPSr attached to your PC, navigate to the GARMIN drive and look in the poi folder for a file named poi.gpi. Delete that file.
.

I'm not sure where to find

I'm not sure where to find the Garmin drive? :)Thanks for your help!

EDIT: I just found the driver. smile

For Me

POI Loader 2.4 first detects the unit, then there is a screen with the choice to load new custom POIs to the device, or to remove all previously installed custom POIs from the device - and selection is done via the 'radio button'.

I wonder why they've done that?

You're clearly more observant than the rest of us!

The snag being that the C3xx series don't mount as a drive - only as a 'Garmin GPS Device' -

Surely they've not removed this new feature on purpose?

Wow, that stinks.

No idea if it was on purpose or an oversight.

I suppose the work around would be to have a blank csv in a folder and have the POI Loader "install" that. Then go back and load the ones you want if necessary.

just load any poi file

Load any poi file and they all go away except for the one(s) just loaded, and any saved as a gpi

Custom POI for c340

I have a Garmin c340 for about 2 months now, still a newbie. I have a few questions concerning custom POI.

1.What's the available memory size on c340 for loading custom POI? It doesn't appear to be much.

2. Any way to load the custom POI on SD cards and "train" c340 to access custom POI from SD card? If doable, how do I "train" my Garmin c340?

Thanks.

about 2mb and no
