Protocol Question

In working on the Panhandle section guide it is possible to copy/paste the descriptions from the PDF guide to the Florida Birding Trail and put it into the comments section. Is it appropriate to do this?

The material does not appear to be copyrighted or otherwise protected. The guides are free to the public both in print and PDF versions.

Should I contact them and get permission & would that make it more appropriate?

It sure would be nice if I could get folks to step up with the guide sections for their area. It really helps if you are kind of familiar with the local area when placing the points.
