Google maps satellite images on a nuvi?

I can't seem to find this anywhere, a yay or a nay. So my question is... Can you import any kind of satellite image or such to overlay the existing map? I think it would be a pretty cool idea if you had a big enough SD card for the region in question. Now I know the Topo map is near that, but it's no comparison to looking at real trees even if some may not exist anymore, or the frequent "phantom" cars. Anmything like this out there?

Not a tranparent map

To see two images layered on top of each other, the top picture needs to be transparent (i.e. one particular color is designated as transparent, allowing to see the picture on the next layer.) This is the case for example of the color purple in some of the icons, allowing non-rectangular shapes.

While the Nuvi can handle the transparent feature, the main map in the GPS is not a transparent map (i.e. the white area are really white). This means that you could not see a second layer below it (the satellite picture in your case).
