This is just one of my full time jobs. I am also a full time stay at mom.

Jon and I run the site from our home.

This year will be the first year that both of our daughters will be in school all day so I will have a chance to get lots more work done during the day.

Miss POI

OK but why?

JimReeb wrote:

Not sure where to place this, so here goes:

I enjoy garage sales and was thinking about how to turn my NUVI 660 into a PDA. The following is an example of books.

+000.00300,00.00000,Dan Brown,"PB - Angels And Demons
PB - Deception Point
PB - Digital Fortress
HB - The Da Vinci Code"

This is one entry of a csv file. The latitude is always 00.00000 and the longitude increases by .001 per author and the authors are in alphabetical order. Because the authors are displayed in longitude order they are also in alphabetical order in the NUVI. The original list is a text file, converted to csv by a PERL program, however, it could be done by hand with insertions not holding to the increment of .001.
In Colorado it works fine but in Asia.....

Jim

With all due respect to your ingenuity, why? Is it those "because I can"?

What a day in VA.Storm came

What a day in VA.Storm came through tree limbs all over the area.Lost power for 4 hours.Everyone came together with chain saws and cleaned up.Lots of branches for the city to pick up now.

I hope all is well.

All the power back on but

All the power back on but still some tree and branches to be cut up in other areas.Very seldom we lose power in our area because all the lines are underground.Had large hail mixed in with the rain.We were expecting rain but it seems like this storm came out no where.Lots of rain still in the forecast so with the ground soft we can expect some more down trees if another storm pops up.

Edit.Good job BobDee on all the extra sounds you made.Just got chance to listen to some of the new ones.It makes big difference with the background sounds.

Good weather in AZ now

I've got family visiting and we've got really nice weather here in Phoenix right now. It actually cooled off this week with highs in the 90's.

Off for a long weekend

My wife and I are leaving for a long weekend in DC. Leaving early tomorrow (Fri) morning and returning late Monday afternoon. We've got an itinerary laid out with friends, and one of the stops includes a visit to the Holocaust Museum. We have our passes. We're hoping that it will be open after yesterday's senseless, repugnant tragedy and today's closing in honor of the slain gurad.

A tour of DC after dark is on the agenda, as well as several stops at Ben's Chili Bowl (100% wind powered!) for half smokies and fries.

"Jack" will get us to DC and our hotel, plus several locations in Alexandria. Otherwise, we're at the mercy of the Metro system and their paper maps.

Have a great weekend everybody.
