I accidently

I accidently deleted my maps from my gps unit. This occurred while downloading the maps, the USB cable was knocked off and the unit now read No detailed maps found etc... yes I did have a back up for the maps, but it was on my had drive which was lost through a system upgrade. I just don't know why the computer will not recognize the unit. If I can get the computer to recognize the unit, I'll take it from there.

Call Garmin

If you continue to have problems CALL Garmin. Don't fiddle around with email. Just call them.
