I'm new, so I'm not really sure what the general protocol is for identifying new traffic cameras. I used the web form, but I see a lot of people posting new cameras in this forum. So, I'll do that too.
Rockville, Maryland is adding four new speed cameras according to the follow source, which I've found very reliable in the past: http://www.rockvillecentral.com/2009/06/rockville-adds-four-...
The four new speed cameras are at the following locations:
* 500 block Redland Boulevard (westbound)
* 500 block Redland Boulevard (eastbound)
* 600 block Great Falls Road (northbound)
* 700 block Twinbrook Parkway (northbound)
I can confirm that there are new speed cameras on Great Falls near Julius West Middle School, and also on Twinbrook Parkway. I will try to go by the ones on Redland next week to confirm.
Did you click on the link to the right that says "report an enforcement camera" to report them as well?
Thanks for the info.. what a great time to be living in Maryland *rolls eyes*
Yes it is wonderful, *rolls eyes too* did you hear that they did not get enough signatures to get the referendum on the next ballot to repeal the new speed camera law? Now these speed cameras are gonna spread across Maryland like wildfire. POI factory is going to be busy busy busy updating. The County Executives across Maryland are salivating at the thought of how many of these money makers they can jam into their jurisdictions.
Thanks for the info. Got 3 speed cam tickets last week. 2 from MD & 1 from DC
You had to be doing at least 12 miles an hour over the posted speed limit. If the ticket shows you at 11 over, you can get it dismissed. The legislature when it passed the speed cam bill set the tolerance to +12 before a ticket can be issued at a speed cam.
If I had your money, I'd burn mine
