Installing new POI Files

On my Nuvi 885t I have installed poi files but now I notice that when I install a new file, it removes the others I had installed before.
Is this the way it should work, or should I include all the POI's in one file before installing on the Nuvi?

All together now

You have to load them all as every time you run POILoader it overwrites the existing file.

try this

Put all your poi files in one(same folder) point POI loader to that folder ...good to go!

Check out this thread. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/22693

It takes a little computer work, but it will save you from downloading all the poi everytime you want to update one file.

Some days you're the bug, Some days you're the windshield!!

I prefer the method

I prefer the method described in this thread, using folders on both the Garmin and on the PC: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/17095

.

NachoB is referring to the ScrugneysGundogs post in that thread. This is the method everybody should try once they really understand the basics of POIs, but maybe not until then. I can't believe somebody else uses it other than me and Scrugney.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

POI Files

Thanks Guys; All is well now
