Annoying "nag" on Nuvi 750 re: POIs on SD card

I've installed a bunch of POIs on a 4 GB SD card. Now every time I turn my Nuvi 750 on, it nags me to install the "new extras' onto the GPS so they'll be available if I remove the card.

But I'm not gonna remove the card. And I don't want to install the POIs onto the GPS since that's why I have a 4 GB card!

How do I turn this "nag" off?

The solution

On my Garmin 350, I check the box saying don't ask again & select NO.

Fred

I just asked the same

I just asked the same question recently http://www.poi-factory.com/node/22638

Quoting Bentbiker's reply:
If you say "Yes", it will bring up another screen with a checkbox to quit asking; you are then given the opportunity to skip transferring that particular gpi file. You will no longer be bothered.

It's counterintuitive

You answer yes to add them, then on the next screen mark Don't Ask Again and then Skip.

Thank you for the info - I

Thank you for the info - I was wondering the same thing...

Same on the 760

I had the same problem when I first got my 760. What a totally non-intuitive way to do things. First say Yes so that you can then say No. Really weird......

Kind of like clicking on Start so you can Shut Down your computer.

Bad Flowchart

Perhaps there's a restriction that prevents Garmin software developers from placing anything other than Yes/No buttons on the screen.

However, they should put the next screen when users touch No instead of Yes. Perhaps something like: "Would you like to be reminded again?" Yes/No

turn it off on a garmin 885t

same problem here on a 885t, is this the same way to do it, or is it going to be different. thanks

Thanks

Thank you and everyone else who answered.

Saying "yes" when you really mean "no." Couldn't that get a fellow in trouble sometimes? Or is that saying "no" and really meaning "yes?"

I thought "yes" meant "yes" and "no" meant "no." wink grin
