Conversion of POI to MAGN - MM3225

I have a Magellen Maestro 3225. I downloaded the Walmart POI. I opened the Editor, selected "all files" & walmart, selected line 1, used the semi-comma (default) seperator. At "finish" I receive "fields name, lat & long are manditory for import". All of my downloaded POI's have the same problem. What did I do wrong? Did I save on my PC the incorrect file extension & miss part of the file?

The separator has to be "Comma" and not "Semi-comma".
Another tip: Every POI in a Magellan POI file has to have unique name. Make sure that in your "Name" column every row has a different name. For example in your case you can't simple call every store "Walmart" or you'll lose all except one location.

If you downloaded your Walmart (.csv) file from here, the first column is "longitude", the second "latitude", the third column is "name" and the forth column is "description".

Saving Add'tl POI Info - MAG 3225

After finding the dropdown menu & labeling (thank you) the columns, I find I have additional columns of information w/o label & can't type in a label (ie: Walmart). How do you include this add'l info?
Do I save on the GPS to MAP or USR/CPOI folder? Thanks for the hand holding!

Add'l info

As much as I know you can't include additional info. Even "Description" column is limited and doesn't show more than (I think) 18 characters. Magellan GPS dedicates address to your POI once the coordinates are in. Address includes everything except the house number and the zip code. Final result looks like:
POI Name (1st row)
First 18 (?) characters from your "Description" column (2nd row)
Address dedicated by GPS (3rd and 4th row)

At least this is how is with my MM3200.

Erase commas

You have this problem because your description column has commas as separators in addresses. You have to eliminate them. I usually open .csv file using MS Excel and go Edit/Find/Find What (,) and under replace I press Space. Once you press Replace All, you'll eliminate every comma in your file.

Your POI files need to be saved in USR/CPOI folder.
