POI Files. What Next?

I am new to GPS and noticed my garmin Nuvi 760 didn't have an awful lot of good POI's. I just downloaded all the Walmart locations in the U.S. and now don't understand how to get them onto my device? When it was done downloading it created an excel file. How do I get these loaded onto the GPS device? Thanks to anyone who can help?

Make sure your unit is picking up your satelites relative to your current location. Sometomes the unit when booted inside will be set to a location where you last turned it off.

are you looking in Extras?

Make sure that you are looking in tyhe "Extras" section for custom POIs, not the built-in POI section. The built-in list is notoriously bad and very well might not find one closer than 100 miles.

Check

that Custom POI's are turned on in your Nuvi.
