Found the list interesting. Of the top ten Garmin devices listed, 7 are discontinued models. Doesn't appear that the newer models are selling well.

More expensive models sell less numbers but are more profitable

I would guess that the reason a lot of the best selling units are the older discontinued models is that they are also the least expensive units.

The newer more expensive models sell less in numbers but are most likely far more profitable, so more than make up for the lower sales numbers in higher profit.

But that's only until the supply of the discontinued units runs out. Hey, just HOW MANY UNITS are still on shelves once they are discontinued? Now that would be a good answer to know.

Thanks for the link. The newest Nuvi's are really nice. I can't wait to see what is around in a couple of years when I finally retire my 550.
