I am thinking of upgrading my garmin 750 to a garmin 265wt. Does anyone want to share your like/dislike for the 265wt?
It will help me make up my mind.

The 265wt's screen freezes but it still provides the voice prompt. I update the newest firmware (6.60) and do the hard reset. Nothing works.

I have the 265WT and have had the 6.60 update since it came out with no problems.
I've purchased two 265WT nuvis
Gave one of them away. I really like the display and the format of the info provided in the main view. The best Nuvi I've seen so far!

Maybe a solution.
Have a look at the thread "For those who don't believe defragging a NUVI does anything " Maybe it would help. If you do try it, don’t forget to make a back up first.

Having no problem with mine except for a signal lost one time up in the mountains.Covered a few thousand miles so far and very happy with the results.

Was doing a search on 'start up time' and found this thread. I have a Nuvi 205 that sometimes seems to take forever to aquire the sattelite.
Am looking to upgrade to one that speaks street names and it looks like the 255/265 is the way to go as both speak street names and this model seems to have a faster processor than the 205.
As always, POI Factory is a winner!
265 Is Great Except For..
Great unit, all the functions I need except for the one I really wanted. The Bluetooth connection only works on a limited number of phones and my Samsung phones are not on the list! I don't know if it is the bluetooth chip it uses or poor software. My phone will pair with any device except the Garmin so I know it's not the phone!
