You never know what you a sattelite photo will show

While scanning the Outer Banks of North Carolina, using Google Earth, I found two interesting objects.

This will give you something to do!

-75.495969,35.738305
-75.488737,35.737420

2 needles in a haystack - I mean ocean.

Edit:
I put the l/l like Garmin POI. For Google Earth it's really:

35.738305,-75.495969
35.737420,-75.488737

Sorry about that.

You can go back in time before the images were updated.

Open google earth, zoom in on a area like over your neighbor's house. Then click on 'View' then scroll down to 'Historical Imagery' and there will be a bar that you can scroll back to the dates available. Scroll it to the dates before the image was updated and wait, it will update from that timeframe.

Thanks for the tip, that's a cool feature!

They had a segment on it either on the Discover or History channel a year or so ago. Man Made Marvels, or How It Works, they all blur together after awhile. They were on a passenger ferry and when they got here, the ferry went into the "trough" and was carried up to the upper level and then went on its way.

Runway paver?

Nahhh, Coral Dredger!

Actually, I worked, at that time, for the Hawaiian Army Air Force Exchange System. Better known then as HAAFES.

Probably could have made some good bucks, but it was way too remote for me. Would of had to work there for a year minimum, and at the age of 21, it was not too appealing. Oahu was bad enough with only 117 miles of shoreline. At least I had a friend that was accruing solo hours for an Instructors license, so I did get to some of the other islands.

Right now, it's a nice place for a hermit.
