Charging time - depends on the type of charger. Wall charging may be a little faster than USB charging. My experience with USB charging is about 2 hours. But its difficult to tell because the unit doesn't tell you when the battery is fully charged. Unless you go into the diagnostic screen.

Battery life - depends on a lot of factors including screen brightness, features in use, and age of battery. Garmin reports battery life up to 5 hours. I personally believe that's totally unrealistic. I would say about 3 hours.

Usually mine stays charged with the amount of driving that I do.

I have the same unit, the manual says 3-7 hours depending on usage.

I have never got 7 Hrs.from my nuvi 750. I get more like 3 hrs tops.
