Sorry if this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it in the forums anywhere. I was wondering if anybody had any problems with the Nuvi software version 5.00 update?

No I Haven't had any problems updating to 5.0 on my Nuvi and also on my Son's Nuvi

Software versions vary by model series. What nuvi are you asking about? I have not noticed a diference in the nuvi 200 since loading Version 5.00.

thanks, I went ahead and installed it no problems, though nothing seems improved. It's a Nuvi 260.

I bought a 260 a few weeks ago and it updated to 4.8 when I first updated it during the registration pro ess Today, it showed to update to 5.00. Has 5.0 been out since late 2008???

Odd, I had that issue through several updates of my 750. I ended up writing down the voice versions I had downloaded so that if the same version was being offered by Webupdater, I knew I could pass on it. What's odder is that over the past 2-3 firmware updates of my 750, it or Webupdater now don't offer me a voice download unless it's a newer version than the one I have installed.
