Nuvi sofware update 5.00

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it in the forums anywhere. I was wondering if anybody had any problems with the Nuvi software version 5.00 update?

No I Haven't had any problems updating to 5.0 on my Nuvi and also on my Son's Nuvi

Software versions vary by model series. What nuvi are you asking about? I have not noticed a diference in the nuvi 200 since loading Version 5.00.

thanks, I went ahead and installed it no problems, though nothing seems improved. It's a Nuvi 260.

I bought a 260 a few weeks ago and it updated to 4.8 when I first updated it during the registration pro ess Today, it showed to update to 5.00. Has 5.0 been out since late 2008???

Strange that it didn't see that the first time. I hate that it wants to update the voices every time I check updates.

5.0 didn't come out until

5.0 didn't come out until about a week or so ago. Around the ame time that this thread was started.

Odd, I had that issue through several updates of my 750. I ended up writing down the voice versions I had downloaded so that if the same version was being offered by Webupdater, I knew I could pass on it. What's odder is that over the past 2-3 firmware updates of my 750, it or Webupdater now don't offer me a voice download unless it's a newer version than the one I have installed.
