I'd like to point out one thing which is a little misleading from the article. Navteq does NOT gather POI information from its field personnel. The POI data is obtained from commercial databases.

An uninformed reader might get the wrong impression from reading the article.

The link goes to Navteq map reporter? I have no clue what you are talking about.

bad drivers

They must be bad drivers and run off the road a lot. The maps show several streets in my area continuing that are actually dead ends.

yes it does, BUT if you scroll down the screen there is a place on the right side that you can report POI. I personally did not know that a person can report a poi. I bet they would really be busy updateing the built in poi if everyone was to submit changes.
