I downloaded and installed werskin's State Parks / Provincial Parks Combined List for the USA / Canada poi file which contains over 4600 entries. However, when I open the file on my Nuvi 750 I can find only 52 parks, all in Florida where I'm located. What's wrong?
it's all good
....I can find only 52 parks, all in Florida where I'm located. What's wrong?
That's the way it works. POIs are sorted by distance, and it shows you a limited number close to where it thinks you are. If you go into simulator mode and change your location, it should report POIs near the new location.
poi loader
Did you load the poi's with poi loader and then go to the extras, they should show up under custom poi's
Jerry...Jacksonville,Fl Nüvi1450,Nuvi650,Nuvi 2495 and Mapsource.
Where Are My POI's
Makes sense, Slosh, that it would be cumbersome to search 1000's of POI's to find one. I figured out that I only have to select Where To and then Near..., type in a city name near my destination and then the POI's nearest that location are displayed. I never had to turn on the GPS simulator.
Thanks, Irish
