Native American Powwows

Today I was browsing and through some fluke I was looking at the Alabama Cherokee website.
Now I'm wondering if there is an interest in a POI collection of Native American powwows or addresses for them. It seems that they tend to be scheduled regularly same weeks each year and in the same place. It would be no different than the state fairs, would it?
It strikes me as very interesting. While I do not have the time to build this pile of information, perhaps we have a member who is tribal and already connected.
