Garmin StreetPilot c330-POI's

For the street pilot series, The SD card function only for the additional map. You need to download the POI loader from garmin website: http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99...

Once install. You put the *.xls file in a folder. After you install the POI loader. Look for that folder. The internal memory has 2mb of storage space.

Nope. Unfortunately not.

That unit has about 2MB of space for Custom POIs. That will give you space for approximately 15,000 - 20,000 Custom POI locations.

The c3xx were one of the first pnd with a color touch screen. You can't play mp3 or use the sd slot for anything but maps. The c5xx started to allow you to use the sd card for pois and music.

When loading files on the c330 you need to think about what you need, a national or regional list. Icons take up more memory. I was able to get all I wanted/needed on mine by not loading lots of icons and no mp3.

The c330 is a good reliable basic gps. I don't think the routing is always the best (I think it likes interstates over good state roads too much) but that may be due to using old maps on my part. So just check the overall route by clicking the green bar at the top and then show at the bottom.

While it is true that you can only use the SD card for maps on the C3xx, the SD card is usuable for POIs, etc on the Street Pilot C500 series
