Using Position Finder with Google Maps

At the suggestion of other folks on the forum I have installed Position Finder into Google Maps, but I'm having a problem with it.

If I enable Position Finder in My Maps and then use the "Search Maps" text box and button, My Maps closes. If I find the position first and then open My Maps, the position marker disappears.

I'd appreciate some insight into what I'm doing wrong.

Thank you.

1.Go to Google maps and sign in

Are you trying to create new map or add to one you already made on Google maps?

1.Go to Google maps and sign in.
2.Click My maps.
3.Enable position finder.
4.Search for business.
5.Listing comes up on left and my map disappears.
6.Save the location. On the last save screen make sure all the changes have been made and remove all information not needed. This is important. You will see your my maps on left after 2nd save.
7.Go back to search again and follow same steps 4 through 6.
8.If you use position finder and create a new location. After clicking new marker you will need to fill in all the information in the save screens. All this information will go into the map you created or added to.

Still having problems

I've created a map called "Test" and am trying to add positions to that.

Is it possible to post images within messages? That way I could show you what steps I am doing when trying to follow your instructions.

Google Maps

Type in your destination in Google maps. When the info bubble pops up, click on "save to my maps". You should see a drop down menu, click "create new map" thats it, your good to go . If you are still having issues try this website .
