Help please

Folks Im new to this sorry.

Ive got a Magellan Maestro 4040 and have a list of National Parks and other various sight seeing places in a word document. Some have address, some have latitudes and longitude coordinates and some only have the city name.

Example: Albuquerque Rio Grande Zoo
903 10th St SW
Albuquerque, NM 87102

Example: GPS coordinates Carlsbad Caverns National Park
Coordinate System: Lat/Long
Datum: WGS 1984
Longitude: 104.445855° W
Latitude: 32.174212° N

Example: The VA Very Large Array is 50 miles west of Socorro, NM follow US highway 60 turn south on NM52 then west on the VLA access road.

What I want to do is get these into my GPS stored on an SD card in case my unit fails Ill still have all my POI's saved.

Also I cant find the DVD to install the POI manager (I think that's what its called) so I also need a link to get this program as well as directions on how to make POI's and get them on an sd card so my Magellan Maestro 4040 can use them.

Ive also spent about 30 minutes and have downloaded a whole bunch of csv files most said Garmin can I use these with my Magellan device.

sorry I'm kind of confused as to what I need and what to do.

Thanks in advance.

After some digging around I

After some digging around I found these two links to get the PIO editor for my Magellan Maestro 4040 and instructions on how to make custom POI's and save them to an SD card. Supposedly these instructions tell you how to convert a Garmin csv file into Magellan format.

I have not tried either of these two links yet as I'm not at home but I will tonight.

ftp://qaenguser:p3ople@65.38.22.229 then POI editors then Maestro then 4040 and download the POI_Editor_4_0_2_0.zip file.

I also discovered that to view your custom POI's you have to go into POI the enhance and select your custom POI file from your SD card.

Ill make corrections to this post as needed.

Good news in about 7
