Bad microphone on c550

I bought my c550 and have loved the gps abilities.

My problem at the moment is with the microphone. When i try and talk to my friends using the bluetooth abilities of the unit they say i sound like i'm in a far off distance.
I have moved the unit all the way to less then a foot from my mouth and they still say they can hear all my car noises but very little of me.
I usually try to talk normally when this happens, if i raise my voice too much i overpower the microphone.

Has anyone else had the same problems at all?

Sony Bluetooth headset DR-BT10CX

HI,

I plan on buying a Zumo 550 for my motorcycle.

I also plan on buying the subject headset from Sony. It has two small earbuds which should ease the process of inserting and removing my full face helmet.

For pairing purposes, does the Zumo 550 allow entering the four digits required by various headsets (I have the Sony DR-BT10CX in mind)?

Thank you for your time!

.

The Zumo supports connecting headsets in the manner you describe.

You might want to check out the Zumo forum for more information.

didn't know that

I didn't know you could have one looking more, i just thought they look for each other the same amount at the same time. This being said, i know very little about bluetooth technology.

Sound quality on the C550

I know this is an old thread now, but just to toss my 2 cents into the conversation.

I have a new C550 and we use it with 2 Nokia phones. We have never had a problem with the sound at all. Both my wife and I, when using the GPS, sound just the same as the programmed voices; nice and clear and clean.

So maybe it is (as someone else suggested) the phones themselves that are connected via the Bluetooth.

Just a thought anyway!
