POI Loader for Mac 2.1.0 now available

Garmin has posted POI Loader for the Mac 2.1.0

Changes made from version 2.0.1 to 2.1.0:
Fixed sending of linked data in GPX files
Added manual mode
Added option to remove all POIs from a device
Added support for 16-bit mono encoded WAV files

I haven't tried it yet. Please post your experiences if you dare to try this.

Using a PC and a Mac

Does anyone know if you can use a PC and a Mac to upload POI's to the same Garmin GPS unit.

Both Should Work

As long as you have the appropriate application, it shouldn't make any difference whether the GPS is connected to a PC or a Mac.

I have used both

I have used both my PC and/or my Mac to upload POI files using the appropriate POI Loader application. I used the beta version of the Mac POI Loader but will try the latest version of the Mac POI Loader later this weekend.. I've used both machines on all 3 of my GPSr's. with success.

I have used Vista on my Mac via Boot Camp to update my nüvi with the Windows software. I have had no trouble going back to the Mac software. The final result on the GPSr is the same.

Success

Just downloaded 2.1.0 and reinstalled all my POI's to my C330 . No problems at all in the manual mode. Set all my proximity alert distances correctly !

And I use both macs and PCs to update our 660 and 680 (keeping copies of POI files and such on a server).
