Pay for Play

I'm not smart enough to add ttt or red light camera files so I would be willing to pay someone else to do it

don't sell yourself short ...

capnkrik-
don't sell yourself short! If you can find this forum, create content, and use your GPS ... well, your smart enough to install a few POI files. Really!

Did you check out the FAQ and Getting Started sections of this site ... they are really helpful and can walk you through must things.

if you still have questions ... that is what this community is for.

with that said ... how much you willing to pay!? LOL ... just kidding!

I don't know, I read some

I don't know, I read some instructions to add TTT to a Garmin c510 and I'm not sure I could do it.

1st Question

1. Do you have a usb cable for the garmin? It would be the same cable if you have a camera or other similar device.

If you do, then I think we can walk you through an install.

Hex editing

capnkrik>>I read some instructions to add TTT to a Garmin c510

Guys, in addition to uploading POI's .... it sounds like he's talking about hacking a 510 to enable the Text-to-speech. You need to do some hex editing to enable that on a unit that originally didn't include it ... as well as flash the GPS back to an earlier version of the software.

Hex editing ... and hacking ... is not for the faint of heart ... and it might violate the rules of this website to even discuss it.

Garmin 205, 260W, 1450LMT, 2460LMT, HEREwego for iPhone ... all still mapping strong.

I would not want to violate

crying I would not want to violate the terms of the website but i appreciate any help. As soon as I get my unit I'll post again.

So, what is TTT

Spoken directions is usually refered to at TTS; Text To Speach.

What exactly is it that you want?

If it is a "feature", then I would advise actually buying a unit that HAS that feature. Many a "hacker" has ended up with an expensive "brick".

And.....if you don't even HAVE your GPS yet, how do you KNOW that you can't make it work ??

I think your plea for help is premature.
