Nuvi 350 Update

I know that this questions has been posed before. However, the latest update for the Nuvi 350 does not look like it offer much of an advantage to updating. I gave my wife the 350 with the previous update and it works great. What is this lastest update going to offer? I hate to screw up a unit that has not had any problems. Would appreciate your input.

I have a Nuvi 350 also and I

I have a Nuvi 350 also and I haven't found any good reason to update it. It works great and performs everything I need it to do except for routes. Did you try going into Google maps and finding your locations and sending them to your Nuvi? It works great and keeps you from having to enter all the information on the Nuvi.

I think what we have to do is use our Nuvi for a long time and get our money's worth out of it. Then keep our eye out for the new models and all their features. When something comes out new and different, I will buy a new one but not as long as my 350 works so well.

Also, I did a lot of investigating before I bought the Nuvi 350. It is a great unit and no bugs that I am aware of. I don't think there will ever be a software or firmware update of value for this unit. You have to buy a new unit to get new features. We just need new maps every year or so.

Nuvi 350

I agree. It has worked great since I purchased it.
I am going to update the maps for my wife and she will keep using it. I am just leary about this latest Nuvi 350 update.
I have a 750 for myself, but will probably give it to one of the kids and purchase a newer model later with more features.

From my cold dead

From my cold dead hands!!!........
grin

My 350 works just fine. I'll avoid updates unless absolutely necessary.

Ya..its 'older'. But dang it. It hits all the points I want.
Its SMALL, it has a longer battery life, MP3 player.
(I wish they would have kept building/selling them...)

I carry it with me everywhere. I listen to my podcasts daily on the train during my commute to work. And I obviously always have it with me when I need it. When the battery dies, I fully expect to figure out how to replace it on my own.
My 660 on the otherhand... Ya, It does its job, but its too bulky to always carry around.
I use it on dedicated trips. (Plus it has traffic)

LONG LIVE THE 350! grin
