Some more Texas Mexican food spots
Your list needs more spots in Texas, where you can get some of the best Mexican food around, if I do say so myself. All of these spots I have visited myself within the last 5 years or so and found them to be good.
Some local/regional chains are included, such as Pappasito's, Los Cucos, Abuelo's and Chuy's. Mi Tierra is the classic old favorite in San Antonio. The Ninfa's cited is the original site which has grown into a regional chain. El Nopalito in Galveston may well be a casualty of Hurricane Ike, but it remains here in honored memory if nothing else.

Most people in this country (that's south of Canada and north of Mexico) aren't aware of the differences between Mexican cuisine and Tex-Mex. Most associate the spicy Tex-Mex with Mexican and a lot of the entries in the file already are Tex-Mex.
Mexican cuisine has regions, similar to Italy in that there are distinctive styles. What we have in the US is mainly the Sonoran or "Tex-Mex" variation with its spices and peppers. Californians get a lot of the Baja style which is more subtle and doesn't have the heavy pepper influence of the desert regions. The food around Mexico City and further south is different still. For some good differences between the Sonoran styles, try Mexican in many areas of New Mexico and then Tex-Mex around San Antonio and south toward Brownsville. Lots of variation for the same dishes.

Since the majority is Tex-Mex anyway, maybe the project owner should rename the POI to Mex/Tex-Mex.
