When I open a gpx file in POIEdit, I only see Description, Lat and Lon. If the gpx file has additional information, I don't see it. When I save as csv, the additional info is gone. I can open up the original gpx file and see the additional info so know it's there, just can't see in POIEdit and won't save into csv format.
Looked under preference, File Imports for gpx format and clicked the option to Retain extra POI info in gpx file but it doesn't show up. Stopped and started POIEdit in case it needed to read a file at startup and still don't see the additional data. Any ideas?
I use GeePeeEx and never have problems...

I down loaded poi edit but have never found the need to try it...
I have three programs I use to compose, edit and check my poi's:
Excel or a similar spread sheet
Poi Verifier II
GeePeeEx

No "final answer" but see my post about GPX !
I don't know the details about POIEdit either, but GPX is only a standard "up to a point"..
Meaning your software has to "map" the standard when it reads and/or writes it, and it sounds like POIEdit isn't making full (or relevant to you!!) use of the available GPX and GPX extension tags.

..how timely!
It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.
